Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the formula calculator?
It uses standard pediatric guidelines (150ml/kg for newborns). But every baby is different. Preemies need more. Some full-term babies want less. Use it as a starting point, then follow your baby's hunger cues and your pediatrician's advice.
My baby is spitting up a lot. Should I switch formula?
Spit-up is normal. Projectile vomiting is not. If it's just small amounts after feeding, try smaller, more frequent feeds and keep baby upright for 20 minutes. If it's forceful, green, or accompanied by distress, call your pediatrician. Use our Allergy Tracker to log symptoms.
Can I use tap water to mix formula?
In most developed countries, yes — if it's safe to drink. Boil it first for powder formula (to kill Cronobacter), then cool to 70°C (158°F). For ready-to-feed, no water needed. If you're unsure about your water quality, use bottled or distilled.
Where is my data stored?
Nowhere but your browser. We use localStorage to save your baby's profiles, feeding logs, and allergy records. It never leaves your device. We have no server, no database, no user accounts. See our Privacy Policy.
Is this medical advice?
No. I am a pediatric nutritionist, not your baby's doctor. These tools are for education and tracking. Always consult your pediatrician for medical decisions, especially if your baby was premature, has health conditions, or is not gaining weight.
